Guest Speakers Laurie Phillips and Mary Cayan will guide us through creation of Vision Cards. Create a deck of powerful personal images that embody your goals, values, hopes and dreams. During our Members-only meeting, you'll develop a vision of the biggest life possible for you and start creating it right away! Encouraged by coaches Laurie Phillips and Mary Cayan, you'll use beautiful stock photography and illustration books to cut out images and make a deck of cards that hold the juicy bigness of what your heart really wants. You'll be able to use these cards as daily inspirers, reminders, goal-setters, meditation aids, even decision-makers.

mikepollan.jpgSpeaker Michael Pollan, author of The Omnivore's Dilemma, The Botany of Desire, and Food Rules: An Eater's Manual will guide our minds and our palates through a history of transformation. Exploring the previously uncharted territory of his own kitchen, we are inspired by Michael to discover the enduring power of the four classical elements - fire, water, air, and earth - to transform the stuff of nature into delicious things to eat and drink. In doing so, we are altogether more conscious of the world around us.

A portion of event proceeds benefit Appetite for Change, a nonprofit organization in North Minneapolis, which seeks to build individual, family, and community capacity to use growing, cooking and eating food as vehicles for social change.

This event will sell out quickly - don't miss it! More Information and to Order Tickets

a As an organization, part of our mission is to be an inspired resource for intentional living. We want to know - what does that mean for you, as a member of FSIM, or guest at our meetings? In other words, if you aim to live intentionally, in what ways can we support you in doing so? Do they relate directly to feng shui? Or indirectly?

FSIM President Hinda Abrahamson is pleased to share her online store featuring Year of the Snake cards, stamps, return address labels and apparel! Ancient Chinese wisdom holds that having a Snake in the household is a good omen; it means the family will never starve. The Snake is known as the guardian of the treasure, whether that be wealth or, metaphorically, wisdom.

FSIM Honorary Board Member Andrew Hong was featured in the Star Tribune article Qi is Key at West Bank Development for his Feng Shui expertise and involvement on the project.

Member Cheryl Larson shares Bridging’s urgent need for donations. Bridging is a nonprofit organization with two locations in Bloomington and Roseville, the largest furniture bank in North America. Their inventory is low, and they’re in need of quality, gently used furniture and household goods. Read Cheryl's guest post about Bridging on our blog or find out more about donating.

SunSailor newspaper featured an article about Feng Shui in its February issue, focusing on aspects of Financial Planning. FSIM Board Members Debbie Miller and Hinda Abrahamson were interviewed, and a link to FSIM was provided. Read the Article.

FSIM Membership Coordinator Cathy Galvin and husband Craig welcomed their first grandchild, Evan Craig on 12.15.12. Born to daughter Jen and son-in-law Nate, he weighed 6 pounds 15 ounces, and is pure JOY!
