Since our organization began in 1999, our membership fee has remained at $99.00. This year we have revised our membership levels and fees to reflect the rising costs of running a growing organization including arrangements for our FSIM meetings and events and upgrading our website and online benefits.

Our new membership levels are as follows:

FSIM Friends include both those trained in Feng Shui but who are not practicing Feng Shui consulting professionally, and Feng Shui aficionados who have a strong interest in Feng Shui, possibly have a related business or service (healers, designers, specialty retailers) and wish to be an integral part of our vital community.

Student: $54.00. This is a maximum one-year membership for anyone currently enrolled in a certified Feng Shui program.
Your board has been working diligently to create a process for you that will greatly simplify enrollment. If you have any questions, please contact Cathy or Laurie.

We are excited to begin 2012 with our traditional annual meeting at The Marsh and bring you internationally renowned author, speaker, healer, and business consultant, Cyndi Dale as our guest speaker.

We are all caregivers in our personal lives: taking care of spouses, children and aging parents, assuring that their lives run as smoothly as possible. If you are an energy worker, that “care quotient” may be double-taxed. By the end of any given day, you might feel like a bit like the kitchen sponge, so full of “others’ stuff” it’s hard to find yourself.
Once spiritual parameters are established, according to Cyndi, you can start to free yourself from the seven types of energy syndromes that cause loss of energy or the absorption of others’ issues. Cyndi will discuss these syndromes, the subject of her newest book, Energetic Boundaries: How to Stay Protected and Connected in Work, Love, and Life. With warmth and wit, she will share easy and practical ways to establish energetic boundaries that help us “take care” of ourselves.
Cyndi has been a natural intuitive since she was young and has been trained in several different healing modalities, including shamanism, intuitive healing, energy healing, family of origin therapy, therapeutic touch, the Lakota way and faith healing. She also holds a fourth degree mastership in Reiki.

2011 Reflections & The Look Ahead to 2012

By Barbara Everett

Times are passing quickly. The eventful year of 2011 leaves us with shocking memories of huge weather disasters, of loss of life, political upheavals, and the continuing changes unprecedented in modern times. We are being tested, it seems, to become more flexible, to find our voices of dissent and dissatisfaction in the face of injustice.

The possibility for humanity to advance with conscious choices is a wondrous experience to be part of – these are the biggest leaps possible for us in 36,000 years! Humanity is slow to change. It takes enormous pressure to move us forward; that is what is occurring, and that is bewildering to many.
To aid us in the intense movement, the planets that generate the biggest changes are hard at work to lend their cosmic influence to all of humanity – awakening or still sleeping. The planet Pluto is the furthest out in the solar system, and its divine purpose is to dissolve, in whatever way it can, the areas of life that are ready to be completed, or in the worst cases, to be totally destroyed in order for a new beginning to emerge. These pressured times are similar to the mystical Phoenix rising from its ashes.
The other planet that foretells change is Uranus, from which the word uranium has come. Uranus is abrupt and sudden. Its divine purpose is to create paths to freedom, so it has a revolutionary aspect, which is breaking out in places of dictatorship. The Arab Spring and Occupy Wall Street are witnesses to Uranian power and purpose. BUT, we welcome 2012 with hope. Only on planet Earth can these cosmic moments be experienced. Hang on – the best is yet to come! You are to be part of this grand scheme.

Member News & Announcements

Member Ellen Johnson is proud to report that the first FSIM Service Project: "From My House to Yours" was a success! During the month of August, FSIM members, along with friends, family, and clients, donated:

  • 202 items to Bridging
  • 226 boxes/bags of items to other charities

As a result, we have less clutter in our homes, creating space in our lives for what we truly want. And, more importantly, we've helped many people in need in a time when more and more people are finding themselves in need. Thank you to all FSIM members; we are making a difference in the lives of those around us - keep up the good work!
