Greetings FSIM Members & Friends, |
With
this last issue of 2012, we would like to extend our gratitude to all
members and guests who've participated in the year's events. We started
off the year at our Annual Meeting with Cyndi Dale, first sharing her
insight on energetic boundaries for the new year, then were also lucky
enough to have her share our individual “soul songs” at the Members-only
meeting. Mid-year we learned about Feng Shui for the skin, with Porat
Hammarburg, and in November we journeyed to the Minneapolis Institute of
Arts to see the Chinese Terracotta Warriors with a private guided tour.

FSIM Practitioners and Friends, this marks the end of this year's
annual membership. Know that your membership is truly valued. We look
forward to your renewal for 2013, and to offering more opportunities to
connect and enrich the Feng Shui community. The deadline for renewal is
December 31, 2012. Renew now

The Winter Mysteries
By Barbara A. Everett
As
the bright light of the sun begins its yearly descent into darkness,
and as the colder weather causes us to scurry more quickly, we begin our
entrance into the Winter Mysteries.
Each
season in the Northern Hemisphere is a story for humanity, repeated
throughout time to awaken our ancient memories – of our origins, our
journeys, and our return to our cosmic home.
The
Winter Mysteries always include magical happenings: an unusual birth,
angelic visitations, mysterious stars, and regal astrologers who have
waited and watched for these mysteries to appear in the sky and on
earth. We call this Mystery “Christmas”, regardless of one's faith or
philosophy.
Over
time, the stories have been embellished, but in spite of materialism
and commercialism, we return to these mysteries to be inspired again, to
be lifted from our daily lives, to the promise that there is more to
life than what we see.
An
even more ancient winter mystery is the Winter Solstice, which has been
gaining more widespread interest as we diversify our “stories”. The
Winter Solstice is the first day of official winter. The daylight has
almost disappeared; the nighttime is at its longest; the sun, the giver
of life, no longer rules. Even the word “Solstice” is mysterious,
meaning “the sun stands still”, and for three days the darker light
rules. Memories return of an earth time when the Great Mother, the
feminine, was the giver of life, and the reveler of life's important
mysteries. The earth was acknowledged as sacred, all kingdoms had
purpose, and harmony and peaceful coexistence were the plan.
Perhaps
we are fascinated by Winter Solstice as we have lost so much of the
mysteries that have guided humanity. Angelic beings and celestial
happenings appear often when humanity becomes confused about its
purpose. We seek guidance, hope, and inspiration.
We
are now at the birth of a new consciousness, an evolutionary leap that
can be the new star to lead us forward, the new wonder of an age of
intelligence and love that we have been longing for, waiting for, and
watching the signs and portents to see – if we will unveil the mysteries
that are within our reach.
We are the ones we have been waiting for, the new humanity. What a Gift! What a Plan. What a Mystery. |
In harmony, |

Blog Post By FSIM Communications Coordinator Jessica Hoelzel |
As
an organization, part of our mission is to be an inspired resource for
intentional living. As 2012 comes to a close, we want to know – what
does that mean for you, as a member of FSIM, or guest at our meetings?
In other words, if you aim to live intentionally, in what ways can we
support you in doing so? Do they relate directly to feng shui? Or
indirectly?
