An Eye Opening Workshop with Ralph Dehner ~Testimonial By Sonia Ellis - FSIM Secretary
On Friday, August 3rd a group of around 30 eager "faced" participants sat riveted to their seats ready to learn about, exactly that, their faces! We have a fascinating road map of our life right there in the mirror, so take a good look and admire each and every feature of your beautiful face! Ralph Dehner, is a physiognomist, taken from the dictionary: one who studies, or is an expert in, physiognomy; one who studies the outer appearance of a person's face to acquire knowledge of the inner personality. He gave us an overview of how face reading came to be and his personal experience learning this ancient art. Starting from the brow, to the eyebrows, eyes, nose, ears, mouth, chin, and cheeks to the devotional lines and face quadrants we all have, it was intriguing! Ralph made it easy to understand and fun, including in his presentation photographs of celebrities (Hugh Grant, Julia Roberts, Whitney Houston) to give us visual examples, as well as his personal stories of people he has met along his journey. Some of the participants were used as models as well! By analyzing a face, we learned how you could determine what features are desirable on the face of an employee who would be good at teamwork or which one would be best suited to work in a cubicle on their own. Eyes and eyelids can show your emotional traits while noses can reveal your creative or intuitive side among other things. Your ears, obviously pertain to your listening skills but also your outlook on life.
Did you know that the right side of your face shows your professional YOU? And the left side your private YOU?
Widows peaks, shaved eyebrows, round nostrils, large earlobes, full lips, philtrums, mustaches, beards, bug eyes; we went through all of it, recognizing our mother, spouse, child, family member who had these features and nodding our heads in amazement at how accurate the information was with regards to each of them. Thank you Ralph for an enlightening, eye opening workshop, the two hours just flew by! |

Celebrate Wind & Water School of Feng Shui's
20th Anniversary
~ Message from Carole Hyder, FSIM Founder & President Emerrita
The plans for the Wind & Water School's 20th anniversary are coming together. Invitations are being sent, program is being planned, snacks are being discussed. When you get your invitation, please respond as to whether you will be attending or not. Specifics will be outlined if you are attending.
All graduates of the program have been asked to submit a short and succinct word or two about "What Feng Shui means to me. . ." These will be printed and put on a wall enabling us to appreciate and embrace the community that we have become. If you are a graduate but can't attend the event, submit a statement anyway. You are still part of the tribe.
P.S. Did I mention there will be a school song? Not to be missed! |
