Designing Your Home and Life with Vision Boards

In this class, Designing Your Home and Life with Vision Boards, in Julie Ann's Change Your Space, Change Your Life Series, she will guide you to go deeper into discovery about thinking about your home; what it feels and looks like. Even as Feng Shui experts we sometimes don't take the time to re-evaluate our own spaces.  This is a good opportunity to focus on you!

What is a vision board?

A vision board is surface to display images on that represent what you want for your life. It's one of the many tools that can help you to visualize your intentions and get you into the right frame of mind to achieve them. Vision boards can include images, drawings, photographs or words.

Creating a vision board is a process of discovery. We all want more or less of something.  More money, less stress.  More romance, less conflict.  More career advancement, less health worries. During this class you are going to figure out what you want more of and what you want less of.

You'll learn more about how you'd like your home to look and feel, and how that connects with what you want for your life. At the end of the class, you'll leave with:

=      Clarity
=      Creative ideas
=      A fresh perspective
=      Opportunities for change

PLUS, you'll have a tangible visual representation of your goals and desires, to hold the energy of your intentions and inspire you. With your Vision Board and your fresh Feng Shui design perspective, you can align your space with what you truly desire.  It can really make a difference!

2019 FSIM April Meeting
(Recap by Deborah Miller)

Have you discovered your Core Beastie? The attendees of the 2019 FSIM April Meeting had an opportunity to do just that!

Sarah shared her transformative journey with us all in a way that we could relate, using humor and sharing personal experiences. As a member of the audience - I was drawn in by the
honesty and compassion of her story. She also shared information about how we each could go
on our own hero journey to discover our own Beasties (spirit animals).

We were invited to experience for ourselves the wisdom that can be derived from our spirit
animals. We each spent time as both Shaman and wisdom seeker, working together with
partners, finding guidance in the animal cards that we had drawn for ourselves.

In the closing ceremonial circle, we thanked the Beaties for their wisdom and blessed the
information that was shared while being accompanied by a subtle heartbeat drumming.

Thank you Sarah, for creating a such a memorable experience for us all!

Spotlight on Sonia Ellis

Sonia Ellis: FSIM Board Secretary

I was born and raised in Montevideo, Uruguay by British born parents. I have one younger brother (who lives in Uruguay with his family) and an older half sister (who lives in Australia with her family).

I moved to the United States in 2005 with my husband, Josh, our then college bound daughter,
Maggie and our 7-month old daughter, Isabella. Maggie studied at UNLV for five years and then
moved back to the Twin Cities. By then we already had another daughter, Angelina.

Our family home is a 107-year old house in St. Anthony Park, St. Paul. Maggie and her "manfriend" Kevin live in Woodbury.

In 2008 a Wind and Water student "feng shuied" our home, and although I had heard/read about
Feng Shui before, I was hooked! I attended Wind and Water and graduated in 2010. I love this
fascinating art, have done consultations, practice many of its rituals and keep in contact with many Feng Shui consultants.

My time is still mostly devoted to tending to our family but I do a lot of volunteer work at our church and our girl's school. I am also an online customer service person for a health product site.

It is an honor to be part of the FSIM Board. Thank you for our trust and friendship.

FSIM C3 Circle Spring Equinox Celebration

In Gratitude for YOU!

Our Spring Equinox C3 Circle Gathering was well attended by Feng Shui members and friends to hear Amy Randy give us a glimpse into Astrology. Astrology is a complex topic, yet Amy gave us valuable insights to ponder. She shared what is occurring right now and explained the meanings of some of the signs, aspects and houses in a natal chart.

Amy said, "2019 will be a serious year. There will be unrest worldwide. In order to counteract the energy, do as much good as you are able in the beginning of the year. Do service to others and be upbeat and creative. The astrological map tells us to DO, be active, exercise, and get out into nature. Commune with Mother Earth." Thank you Amy for sharing your wealth of knowledge, we appreciate having you be part of the Feng Shui community.

Thank you to everyone who came for the evening C3 circle and who participated in making the blanket drive for Bridging a success! Not only did we collect donated blankets, we also received a mattress/box spring, end tables & coffee table and a large area rug that was delivered to Bridging for clients in need. Job well done! Keep clearing your clutter all year long - remember less is more!

Enjoy the budding spring weather and we hope to see you all at the Summer Solstice Bonfire gathering on June 21st!
